YOUR FIRST FIVE MINUTES WITH AI

Start here.
Keep it simple.

You only need one useful task to get started. Follow the steps below, then pick a beginner prompt and try it in your AI.

Choose my first prompt →
1. Copy → personalise → paste

Choose your AI inside the prompt pop-up. Open a prompt, replace every bracketed field, then copy it. Open your AI and paste the text into a new chat. For photo prompts, attach your own reference photo in the AI app. This site doesn’t run AI or upload your photos.

Try: turn a rough email into a polite message. Check that the result still says what you meant.

2. Tell it what a good answer looks like

Include your task, useful background, source material and the format you want. “Write an email” becomes “Write a polite 120-word email asking a supplier for an update. Use these order details.”

A role such as “act as a tutor” can guide the response, but does not turn an AI into a qualified expert.

3. Improve the answer with a follow-up

Try “Make it shorter”, “Use simpler words”, “Give me three alternatives” or “Ask me what you need before drafting”. Change one thing at a time so you can see what helped.

4. Check facts and protect private information

AI can sound certain and still be wrong. Check names, dates, numbers and cited sources. For current information, use a tool with browsing and ask for dated links. For work, use your organisation’s approved AI and follow its data policy. Remove confidential, client and personal details before using public tools.

Use qualified advice for health, legal and financial decisions. These prompts are starting points for drafts and learning.

5. Make photo prompts more specific

Say what to preserve, what to change, the style, background and viewpoint. Ask for recognisable features and consistent details. Image features depend on your tool and plan. Use photos you own or have permission to use; get consent for other people’s likenesses.

Generated lettering, fine details and multi-view consistency may need correction. A turnaround image is a reference concept, not a print-ready 3D model.

6. A seven-day practice plan

Day 1: rewrite a message. Day 2: summarise your notes. Day 3: plan meals. Day 4: learn a new concept. Day 5: try a photo transformation. Day 6: improve an answer with two follow-ups. Day 7: save three favourites and write your own prompt.

After each task, ask: Did it follow my instructions? What did it assume? What should I check?

Keep learning from the source

Explore the libraries that informed this update

59 original or previously adapted JP226 prompts plus 941 adapted community prompts from prompts.chat, whose prompt dataset is released under CC0 1.0. Each community entry identifies its source and contributor. Other libraries informed browsing and topic coverage; their paid or proprietary prompts have not been copied. Community examples are starting points and have not been individually tested. Tool support varies.
